WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR

This full certification program is designed for:

Existing or in-training yoga teachers wishing to gain comprehensive theory and skills for teaching trauma-informed and accessible yoga in studio and community settings

Community and health professionals wishing to incorporate yoga, body-based and mindfulness practices with an embodied trauma-informed approach into their existing work or therapeutic practice

Social justice advocates, community and cultural change leaders wishing to learn trauma-informed frameworks and embodiment practices for resilience, connection and social change.

Anyone interested in embodied trauma-informed and social change practices for personal development, individual and collective wellbeing.

This training expects a basic familiarity with yoga asana practice. Please note: if you are not a certified yoga teacher, this training does not qualify you to teach yoga classes or programs – you will need to complete a 200hr foundational yoga certification. Unfortunately, we are currently not offering our 200hr YTT program due to COVID.

ATTENDANCE & CERTIFICATION

Because we are passionate about engaged and collaborative learning, our online trainings are live (not pre-recorded). This is to support your own learning, engagement and integration, and to build a strong community of learning and social change.

To receive certification and be eligible for CEU you must complete live attendance of a minimum of 50% of the live learning sessions for Modules 1 & 2 and 80% for Modules 3 & 4. All live sessions will be recorded (except for Module 4). You must also complete all required learning activities, which are part of your course hours.

This program offers CEU with Yoga Alliance for existing yoga teachers.

PRICING & EQUITY

We are committed to offering trainings that are of the highest quality, affordable, and accessible.  We offer tiered pricing and scholarships to support global equity and access.

When you register for our full 100hr certification upfront you receive 20% off the package price of the individual modules. Note: If you have completed any one of our training modules individually and would like to continue with us for the full 100hr, you are eligible for a 15% package discount off your remaining modules. Please email us at info@yogaforhumankind.org.

Payment options include single upfront payment or 3 x monthly payments.

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

We have found that the greatest engagement and benefit comes when there is a meaningful, mutual exchange. We also recognise that we live in systems of inequity. For these reasons, we offer tiered pricing and invite you to choose honestly based on your personal and local financial circumstances, and what you would pay for comparable professional training programs.

TESTIMONIALS

I have found the training very enlightening for myself and even though I am not a practitioner I have been able to implement these practices into general life. I am looking forward to applying more of this knowledge in my life.

Training Participant

I came away from Yoga for Humankind’s Trauma-informed and Community Yoga with a renewed sense of purpose and awareness. This training was the missing piece to the puzzle that I wasn’t aware was missing. It feels like the glue that puts things together for me, and has clarified exactly why I’ve been doing what it is I’m doing. It wasn’t always easy work, and at times it was quite confronting, but it definitely has been the most eye-opening, heartful, perspective shifting and affirming training program I have participated in. I am excited for the possibilities that lie ahead, and am grateful for the freedom to explore what this might look like.

Training Participant

I can't stop telling people about this training - it's absolutely essential for yoga teachers and health workers (and humans) alike. I sincerely hope that everybody has the opportunity to learn these skills and practices for themselves and others - what a world we'd be living in.”

Training Participant

This is a truly supportive and authentic training. The manual is comprehensive as are the extra resources. The learning activities each week help to reinforce the practices as you move from week to week. Mei Lai is a wonderful facilitator as are the rest of the team and guest speakers. I felt 'held' throughout and made many beautiful connections along the way. The break out rooms and discussions were always insightful, supportive and kind. Thank you for an inspiring course.
